Marital Therapy
Dr. Dorfman takes pride in having saved thousands of marriages in his over 30 years of experience doing marital therapy. After attaining a Master's degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from the University of Connecticut, he began his treatment of couples in the early 1980's. He then went on to gain accreditation as one of Connecticut's first Certified Marriage & Family Therapists. Since moving to Pennsylvania, he has gained additional knowledge by attending numerous continuing education seminars and conferences. During marital therapy, Dr. Dorfman focuses on enhancing effective communication skills, empathy, and learning to work together as a team towards mutual goals as well as self enhancement within the relationship. Couples may be seen either conjointly or individually to help strengthen their relationship.
